1. Health Assured (Student Assistance Programme)

Confidential mental health and wellbeing support from trained mental health professionals. Services available including counselling support, cognitive behavioural therapy, and a general well-being 'helpline'. Available 24/7, 365 days a year. Direct referrals can be made by visiting either Emily or Emma in the Student Support Team.

2. My Healthy Advantage

Available to download free on Android and iOS devices, this app includes weekly mood trackers, wellbeing videos, health trackers, guided meditations, and a live chat function.

3. Academic Support

To help you get the most out of your time with us, we have academic support available to help you through your studies. You can get 1-2-1 practical support with study and research skills, written work and academic writing, understanding briefs, referencing, and organising/managing workloads.

4. Student Support Drop Ins

All students have access to regular wellbeing sessions with our Student Support and Experience team throughout their time at ALT. We run weekly drop-in sessions during term time if you want some general advice, guidance, or support.

5. Wellbeing Sessions

Booked Wellbeing sessions are available to students. Going to university isn’t just about your degree, you’ll meet new people, take part in new experiences, and learn more about yourself. Sometimes, you’ll face challenges, but we are are here for you, every step of the way!

6. Disability Support Sessions

If you have a specific learning difficulty, physical or medical condition, or mental health difficulties, our Student Support team can help you find the right support for you.

This includes helping you with your application for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).

7. Student Hardship Fund

Our Hardship Fund is available to support students with essential living costs to ensure studies are not impacted. You may be eligible to receive a one-off payment if you are experiencing unforeseen financial difficulties.

8. Care Experienced/Estranged Student Support

Enrolled care experienced or estranged students, can arrange informal meetings for any support with any enquiries whether it be financial, health & wellbeing etc. with our champion. We can advise and signpost care experienced or estranged students to the relevant internal and external support mechanisms.

9. Chaplaincy Support

Students can access the Chaplaincy service whether they have a faith (Christian, Jewish, Muslim etc.) or have no religious beliefs. Chaplaincy Support can help if you need someone independent and confidential to talk to, are finding life difficult, or if you want to explore spirituality.

10. GP - Park Green Surgery

We work in partnership with local healthcare providers close to campus. Church View Surgery is within walking distance of our campus. The practice provides advice on relationships and sexual health issues or any other health issues that are causing you concern. Make an appointment at reception to see a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
