1. Student Services - Advice and Support

Our experienced and supportive Student Services Team offer a confidential and impartial advice service to all students, in person and online. The RCM’s Student Services team provides pastoral care, counselling, disability support and guidance on a range of matters including health, finance and accommodation. Students are welcome to arrange a time to meet with the Student Services Manager for an informal chat.

2. Disability Support

Students with disabilities (including Mental Health Conditions and Specific Learning Differences, such as Dyslexia) are invited to discuss their learning support requirements and set up a Learning Agreement which will detail any reasonable adjustments to support study. We can also offer advice on Disabled Students' Allowance.

3. Counselling

If you experience any problems in your personal or academic life during your time at the RCM, a free in-house counselling service is available to all students. Counselling is an opportunity to discuss what’s troubling you in a safe and confidential setting, where you will can explore coping strategies and helpful resources.

4. Health and Wellbeing

At the RCM, we want to ensure that health and wellbeing is a priority for all of our students. All RCM students get free access to Togetherall, a 24/7 online service offering advice, resources and peer support for those dealing with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues.

We also run free weekly Meditation and Yoga sessions to support your wellbeing, and Massage Therapy sessions at a reduced rate.

The RCM is a member of the Healthy Conservatoire Network and works closely with the Centre for Performance Science to encourage and promote good health in musicians.

5. Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Centre

The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Centre at Imperial College London welcomes RCM students and is just two minutes’ walk away. It provides a confidential place to explore faith and to find support for personal issues. The team of chaplains works with students from different faiths and philosophical backgrounds, offering support, information, discussion, prayer and worship.
