1. Disability Support
The Disability team at GSA supports disabled students, and students with long-term health conditions to overcome barriers to accessing higher education. We assess students’ learning needs, communicate those needs to teaching staff and help to put reasonable adjustments in place to minimise barriers in the learning and teaching environment.
2. Learning Support
Learning Support is available to all GSA students throughout their study at GSA and our learning support tutors can help with a wide range of issues. We can support students to think about their learning, address challenges, explore study strategies and develop skills.
3. Welfare Support
Student Welfare offers support and advice on the practicalities of student life, such as arranging funding and managing money, finding somewhere to live, student health, student safety, visa support and helping students understand student policies (such as Good Cause and Assessment).
4. Counselling and Mental Health Service
The Counselling Service supports students to explore personal and emotional issues that may be impacting on their lives and studies.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Service offers students a space to explore their mental health and wellbeing through individual sessions, group programmes, workshops and other wellbeing events.
