University of Brighton
Find out what support is available at your university or college. The information on this page was compiled by the institution themselves to ensure accuracy.
1. Mental Health & Wellbeing Service
We offer a comprehensive range of services to support student mental health and wellbeing. Our expert teams listen without judgement and encourage you to connect with others, in the way that most helps students personally. Students can register directly with our wellbeing services so that we can arrange the most appropriate support to suit their individual needs.
2. Student Support & Guidance Tutors (SSGTs)
SSGTs are an invaluable source of information and advice, working to provide relevant and timely assistance on a range of issues that might be impacting your studies. SSGTs are available for all students, including those who are undertaking postgraduate study. SSGTs are part of the Student Wellbeing team but work within schools alongside academic staff, to ensure they can provide the most appropriate general and specific support and guidance.
3. Disability and Dyslexia Team
We have a team of Learning Support Coordinators based across all campuses or available remotely for 1:1 appointments or drop-ins. They can discuss medical evidence, conduct screenings, issue learning support plans and connect students with specialist mentors, study skills tutors and note takers.
Please contact us if your studies are being impacted by: a medical condition; a physical disability; a mental health condition; or a specific learning disability such as dyslexia. The earlier you speak to us, the quicker we can arrange support.
