Find out what support is available at your university or college. The information on this page was compiled by the institution themselves to ensure accuracy.
1. Student Services - Wellbeing
The Wellbeing Service at UEA provides support if students are experiencing difficulties with their wellbeing or mental health, as well as providing support for students with disabilities and long-term health conditions. Support is available through workshops, one-to-one appointments with professional advisers, talking therapy, resources and online support, and help with accessing external services.
2. Student Services - Student Life
The Student Life team at UEA provides a confidential and non-judgemental service where students can discuss any concerns with an experienced adviser. They also offer support with living both on and off campus, financial support, help for students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), and support for international students.
3. Student Services - Learning Enhancement
The Learning Enhancement Team at UEA can help students to build confidence in academic writing and studying, mathematics and statistics. Support is available through regular drop-ins and helpdesks, individual and small group tutorials, and a range of self-access study resources. We also offer a free neurodiversity screening service and specialist tuition, and run peer assisted learning schemes in which student mentors meet with mentees to offer course-specific academic guidance and pastoral support.
4. Safeguarding
The University of East Anglia is committed to supporting the safety, wellbeing and human rights of those with whom we interact. The maintenance of robust safeguarding measures is key to how we deliver against that commitment to safeguarding the welfare of everyone participating in our organized activities and providing a safe environment for anyone using our facilities.
